How the VPN Config Generator began…

Quite a number of years ago, I was involved with a worldwide VPN solution spanning 50 countries.

In those days we were running EIGRP across GRE tunnels using IPSEC for encryption. Authentication was backed off to Radius Servers and Windows Active Directory.

I found that to my frustration, it is often the small things that “bite you” when setting up VPNs.

Wrong ISAKMP settings, wrong modes, wrong IPSec settings and on and on. This wasn’t helped by the language barrier when trying to set up something in anon-English speaking country – talk about a protocol mismatch. We even had ISPs blocking ISAKMP or IPSEC – try to setup a VPN with that! But more often than not, it was the various settings and options that caused problems.

From those experiences, I developed the VPN Config Generator to make my life easier, and to make the lives of other networking engineers easier.

I am always grateful to hear stories from Engineers who have found the software of great use to them. We have many example of how the VPN ConfigGenerator has saved Engineers time, money and frustration.

Here is just one of many examples I have heard from our customers:

Joe (not his real name) was sent to a customer site to set up a site to site VPN between two Cisco ASAs. The project manager charged the customer two days consultancy at well over $1000 a day for this project.

Joe decided to give the VPN Config Generator a try….

Well, it took him about 5 minutes (if I remember right) to get that VPN up and running….. so ….… what was he meant to do for the rest of the time….?

Well… I suppose he had to do a lot of testing and verification?

And that is just one of many stories.

The VPN Config Generator has helped me configure complicated VPNs on many occasions. It can help you.

I am so confident about this product that I am prepared to offer you a money back guarantee.

If you are not able to set up a VPN using this software … and we are not able to help you get it working (often it is something totally unrelated to the VCPN that causes issues) … we will give you your money back!

All the best.
